The Opportunity 

Delaware North Sportservice is searching for a Staff Accountant to join our team at TD Garden in Boston, Massachusetts. As a Staff Accountant, you will oversee a variety of accounting functions including accounts receivable, reporting, consolidating financial results, and performing accounts payable invoice approvals.

Pay

Minimum – Anticipated Maximum Base Salary: $65300 - $88200 / year

In addition to base salary, we offer an annual bonus plan based on company and individual performance, or a role-based, uncapped sales incentive plan. Only in special circumstances, where a candidate has education, training, or experience that far exceeds the requirements for the position, would we consider paying higher than the stated range. Responsibilities 

  • Supervise the accounting team with the administration of internal controls and audit policies and procedures to ensure compliance
  • Translate accounting strategy into operational goals and objectives and execute against those strategies and standards
  • Lead by example, coach, and mentor your accounting team and ensure team members have opportunities to learn and grow
  • Support the annual plan and projection process for your location, provide insightful reviews of year-over-year changes and recommend areas of focus to improve operating margins
  • Collaborate with other teams, functions, and data owners across the company to align on process and data issues and ensure required changes to policies or procedures are implemented

Qualifications 

  • Bachelor's or associate degree in accounting or business related subject
  • 1+years of accounting experience including previous supervisory experience
  • Accounts receivable, inventory control and auditing experience is a plus
  • Certified Public Accountant (CPA) preferred
  • Knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP)
  • Expertise in driving continuous improvement and business process management
  • Knowledge of Food and Beverage POS systems, a plus
